By using skin smart science, TiZo Mineral SPF 40 avoids using irritating chemicals. Instead, TiZo SPF 40 utilizes the sun-blocking capabilities of micronized metals to provide ultra-powerful UV protection.
Two types of UV radiation have harmful effects on the skin. UVB rays tan the skin, and are responsible for age spots and certain types of skin cancer. UVA radiation penetrates into the dermis layer of the skin and accelerates the aging process.
Natural UV-blocking minerals are at the heart of TiZo Mineral SPF 40. Titanium dioxide particles block UVB radiation and a narrow range of UVA rays. Zinc oxide gives excellent coverage against both UVB rays and a wide range of UVA rays. Iron oxide rounds out the UV protection of TiZo Mineral SPF 40 as its iron particles also block visible light.
